AT&T U-verse Gains Highest Customer Satisfaction Rating According to JD Power & Associates

Dallas, TX - October 13, 2011

Consumers have once again declared that AT&T U-verse® TV outperforms all of its competitors when it comes to customer satisfaction in the South, West and North Central regions, according to the 2011 Residential TV Provider Satisfaction Study released today by J.D. Power and Associates. This is the third time that U-verse has received the highest results since JD Power began the rankings in 2008.

The study, which ranks overall customer satisfaction, evaluates programming, reliability, performance, service cost, customer service, billing and promotions. The study measures the satisfaction of customers using IP (Internet Protocol) TV, satellite and cable services. There were nearly 24,000 video customers that participated in the study in the United States.

AT&T U-verse once again had the highest score among all internet service providers and television providers in the following regions: the West (9 providers), the South (11 providers, and the North Central (9 providers). "From the initial order, to installation to upgrades, AT&T works extremely hard to provide the very best experience for our U-verse customers," said Ralph de la Vega, President of AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. "U-verse offers a great entertainment experience which includes many features you simply cannot get anywhere else. This is the reason why U-verse is the most sought after television service in the entire country."

Consumers granted AT&T U-verse particularly high marks for programming. They also did extremely well in the areas of promotions and offerings, which takes into consideration a variety of programming services, options, incentives and communications. It was noted that U-verse routinely provides service updates that include new apps and services that serve to deliver a better television experience.
