New Agreements Between Sprint And Clearwire Will Mean Benefits To Both Companies

Up to $1.6 billion in conditional aggregate revenues and funding over the next four years is just one aspect of new agreements between Clearwire and Sprint, recently announced by Globe Newswire. Not only will the agreements allow Clearwire to continue its LTE overlay network buildout and keep prices flexible, but they will also allow Sprint to keep the revenue flowing and help it meet a steadily-growing 4G demand.  In addition, both companies will collaborate to build a network and choose the cell sites which will best serve customers located in Sprint hot spots. Sprint also plans to launch such devices as phones and laptop cards which will use Clearwire’s TDD-LTE network.  With both companies being heavy hitters in the wireless arena, the benefits of this partnership are many.
